The lovely Victorian WCA Home is located in the historic community of Fredonia, New York. Our caring and trained staff is committed to providing our residents with quality living, safety, companionship, and all the comforts of home "away from home."

All of the rooms are private. Some have half-baths. This allows for private moments, as well as assistance when needed. An elevator to the second floor and handrails throughout add to the ease of mobility throughout the Home. Each of the resident rooms are equipped with a call-bell that rings directly into the nurse's station. Our facility is equipped with a sprinkler system and a fire alarm system directly linked to the Fredonia Fire Department. There is also a whirlpool bath for your comfort.

There is staff available 24 hours a day to assist with any personal needs of our residents. Arrangements for transportation, as well as medication services are available. A Registered Nurse assists our well-trained staff of LPN's, Certified Home Health Care Aides, and Certified Personal Care Aides in the loving care given to our residents.

A registered dietician approves all menus always taking into consideration our residents' likes and dislikes, as well as, "resident's choice." Our residents enjoy home-cooked favorites at every meal. Laundry and housekeeping services are provided on a regular basis. A beautician is available in our on-site salon.

A variety of activities is offered, which include physical, intellectual, and social activities provided in large and small groups as well as in one-to-one visits. Due to a central location in Fredonia, our residents are able to partake in community functions and services. Religious services are also available regularly in the Home.

Because everyone's needs are different, the WCA Home has the capabilities to individualize care, based on needs, through its Case Management and Home Care service. Our limited home health license allows the WCA Home to provide support services that previously required a nursing home stay, at a lower cost and more comfortable home-like atmosphere.

Respite care is available for those who need short term placement.

The staff of WCA Home can administer most all services. If other professionals such as therapists are needed to provide services from outside agencies, our staff will be happy to assist in making arrangements to have these professionals and services available to our residents.

This care may be covered under your insurance of HMO coverage. Our business office will be happy to review your medical coverage plans and let you know what options are available.

The WCA Home is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors from the community.
