Assisted Living during a pandemic
COVID-19 has been a challenge for everyone for almost two years. It is particularly concerning for people living and working in a congregate setting. Together, our residents and staff have been forging ahead in this new way of life. The WCA Home has been following all New York State mandated protocols to ensure the safety of our residents and staff. Please contact WCA Home administration with any specific questions
Onsite visitation is open.
Assisted-Living residency for seniors who are medically stable
As a New York State-licensed Assisted Living Program facility, we serve people who can no longer live successfully at home or need more care than is provided in Adult Homes. We provide an advanced level of care in a non-institutional, flexible, living environment, lessening the need to relocate to a nursing home.
Immediate residency in a lovely home
We have private rooms available now. Our home is a historic Victorian, designed by a notable local architect, dating back to the earliest days of the village. We are committed to maintaining our home’s domestic appeal and beauty.
Short-Term residency available
(one week to 120 days)
We offer short-term, post-operative care for people who have just had surgery and would like to recuperate in a secure and helpful environment.
We offer respite care: Let your loved one stay with us while you take a “vacation.”
Medicaid assistance and NYS Assisted Living Program for those eligible
The WCA Home is the only facility in Northern Chautauqua County that can offer the services of the NYS Assisted Living Program, which are Medicaid-eligible. This allows the WCA Home to accept residents who have chronic illnesses or long-term health care needs.
Small and personal
The WCA Home is a New York State Licensed 42 bed facility with a staff of around 30.
Scheduled Activities
Our residents enjoy local shopping trips, visits to the local library, shopping, concerts at SUNY Fredonia and events at the Fredonia Opera House, in-home entertainment, going out to eat, and more.
Professional staff
Our Director of Nursing supervises a trained staff of Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Home Health Care Aides, and Certified Personal Care Aides, all dedicated in protecting the dignity and independence of our residents.
